Updated February 2025! When plant-based food sales escalated across the US, many ice cream shops scooped up the opportunity to release dairy-free flavors. Baskin-Robbins was a little late to the social, but they eventually perfected vegan versions of some classic fan-favorite flavors. And they’ve continued to evolve with new flavors and bases. For a little while, they focused on rich almond butter, then they moved onto oat milk. More recently they’ve gone back to classic coconut milk for the richest non-dairy flavors. Below we’ve outlined their Non-Dairy Ice Cream Ingredients and a full guide on How to Order Dairy-Free at Baskin-Robbins!

Baskin Robbins Dairy-Free Menu Guide with Vegan Options, Allergen Notes, and Flavor Ingredients

Baskin-Robbins Dairy-Free Menu Guide with Vegan & Allergen Options

Baskin-Robbins is a global chain, so there is no guarantee that all of the non-dairy options listed here will be available at your local store. But if you don’t see what you’re craving, you can make your own Dairy-Free 31 Flavors at Home! All of the following dairy-free items are also vegan-friendly, unless otherwise noted. We’ve also noted which items contain nuts, soy, and/or wheat.

Non-Dairy Ice Cream & Sorbet Flavors

  • Non-Dairy Cookies ‘n Crème (New in 2024!) (see ingredients below for allergen notes)
  • Citrus Twist Ice (Canada only)
  • Daiquiri Ice
  • Lemon Sorbet

RIP: Unfortunately, the Non-Dairy Mint ChocoChunk, Non-Dairy Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Non-Dairy Coffee Caramel Chunk, Non-Dairy Salted Fudge Bar, and Non-Dairy Chocolate Extreme were discontinued.

  • Cake Cones (contains wheat & soy)
  • Sugar Cones (contains wheat & soy; not vegan, contains honey)

  • Chopped Almonds (contains nuts)
  • Maraschino Cherries

Heads Up! Baskin Robbins Smoothies used to contain dairy, but in April 2023, they changed the formula. They are now made with real fruit and without dairy or other top allergens. However, their Freezes do contain dairy, and their cappuccinos are made with a premix that can’t be custom ordered without milk.

Ice Cream Cakes, Pies, and Pizzas

Heads Up! At the corporate level, Baskin Robbins does not offer any ice cream cake or pie options that can be made without dairy. Their Polar Pizzas are made with cookie or brownie bases that do contain milk.

Soy

September 23, 2024

I like the way the allergen friendly menu is going but why have a common allergen like soy in all of them…I guess I’ll have to keep waiting to enjoy a sweet treat.

Pricey

September 12, 2021

Aside from the slow and unknowledgeable staff, the non-dairy ice cream (salted fudge) tasted like the real thing. Be sure to save up first though, $7.12 for 2 single scoop cups (think kiddie cup size)

Bring back coffee caramel chunk!

June 15, 2021

I had the chocolate chip cookie dough and it was great but I like the coffee caramel chunk most! I’m hoping you will bring it back. I so appreciate that you have the non dairy ice cream that way when I take my grandchildren for ice cream I can have some too. This also saves me from eating a whole pint from the grocery store!

Strawberry Streusel: Not Recommended

April 29, 2021

I love oat milk and granola, but the “strawberry ribbon swirl” in this new flavor is gross and leaves you with a horrible artificial strawberry aftertaste. I’m shocked that this flavor made it out of the Baskin-Robbins Test Kitchen. If people were not buying their absolutely fantastic (and now discontinued for some reason) Non-Dairy Chocolate Extreme flavor, I doubt very much that the new Non-Dairy Strawberry Streusel will be a big seller.

Good but be careful.

July 27, 2020

I tried the dairy free cookie dough and it was good! The only issue I had was I asked if I could have it as a milkshake (if it was possible)and they agreed. i was thinking they would use a milk substitute and they just poured milk in and it made me sick 🙁

Response from Go Dairy Free

Yes, please make sure to reference our guide. We did inquire and they do not offer dairy-free milk beverage. Only those items listed in the post above were identified as made without dairy.

good ice cream!!

February 11, 2020

The ice cream has great flavor, but it’s missing the creamy regular ice cream taste. For a substitute it’s great and it works, but don’t go in there thinking it’s the same… because it isn’t. Good Job 31 flavors for making this for us non-dairy eaters. I tried the coffee caramel chunk.

Coffee Caramel Chunk non dairy is the bomb!

November 21, 2019

After recently beginning a plant based diet, I took my grandaughter for ice cream knowing I would only be able to watch her eat her treat while I would have to settle for a bottle of water. Boy was I surprised with B-R’s soy based offering of Coffee Caramel Chunk, it’ was creamy, flavorful, and just sweet enough to satisfy! I will definitely be back!
