Updated February 2025! I can’t even count the number of people who have messaged me about Mellow Mushroom. This popular pizza parlor has locations across the the United States, and is known for catering to special diets. In fact, they even have a “lifestyle” section to their online ordering platform, which includes menus for gluten-free, vegan, and keto. But we’re going to go beyond that in this updated post, and give you more helpful details for your dairy-free order. As a bonus, I’ve also included vegan and gluten-free notes!
Mellow Mushroom Dairy-Free Menu Guide with Vegan & Gluten-Free Options
This menu guide includes dairy-free menu options first, followed by custom order components. Be aware of special order requirements in parentheses () next to the menu items, and see the Heads Up notes to help fill in the blanks.
Allergen Protocols: When their staff is notified, all gluten-free pies are made following the strictest gluten-free guidelines. This includes preparing gluten-free pies in a designated sanitary prep area, and using baking tools designated for gluten free pies only. For dairy and other allergens, speak with the location to make sure they can safely accommodate your needs. We’ve heard from some readers who’ve had very good experiences with Mellow Mushroom and their safety with allergen requests.
Other Allergen & Dietary Notes: All of the items listed below are made without peanuts or tree nuts. All items are also made without egg, gluten, and soy, unless otherwise noted. For vegan options, see the Vegan Menu Guide at the bottom of this post.

Heads Up! Their Toast Points contain dairy, which affects several of their appetizers. The Cloud 9 Wings do contain dairy. The Wings are typically served with Ranch or Caesar Dressing. You can ask for a dairy-free dressing or some of the wing sauce on the side. For catering, Mellow Mushroom also offers Jerk, Teriyaki, and BBQ Wings that are made without dairy.

Heads Up! Mellow Mushroom finishes their pizzas and calzones with parmesan and garlic butter. These items are left off on their vegan menu, but you’ll need to request “no parmesan and no garlic butter” if custom ordering a dairy-free pizza. According to the company, you can substitute vegan cheese (Follow Your Heart) on any pie at no additional cost.

Really appreciate this run through of their offerings. I noticed that the vegan pretzels don’t list the allergens it contains. Do you know if it has gluten/ soy?

The vegan pretzels are made with their wheat dough, so they do contain gluten.
